Hello everyone!
I've recently purchased materials from Jo-Anns for my cosplay on Monday.
I started working on the top on Tuesday.
Then today (Wednesday 22) I've added the collar and the red bow I made, from my Yui cosplay.
I just need to add the details to the top and I'll be finished with that. I'll probably start on it again on Saturday since I have new classes.
Right here, I've cut out 2 pieces for the top.
Then I sewed 2 lines vertically so that it will be a better fit.
I don't know what it's called xD I'm bad at explaining things.
Here is kind of the fun part, making the fabric covered buttons. I don't know why but I found it really entertaining and I was so excited to try it out for my first time making fabric buttons. What I did is used the circle template that was included in the kit and drew 4 circles and cut them out. It kind of bothered me when I would push down on the back of the button and it would swerve ; 3 ; and go uneven.
[My Ayato-kun drawing on my binder ;D]
Finished product :D
[I just realized my knee was in the picture xD]
This is what the back looks like so far. Looks kind of like an awkward seal. :o
I'm adding the zipper on the left side, if you're wondering.
I've also sewn some lines on both side on the back for a better fit, afterwards I iron the seams.
[Is that what it's called? a seam? :o I kind of self taught]
I've cut out the sleeves, but I forgot that you have to cut the curve that your sleeve hole has. xD I figured that out too late, but I fixed it! ^ - ^
I've added the sleeves then I iron them. So this is what the front looks like with the sleeves.
Afterwards I've hemmed the sleeve ends.
I didn't take a picture of what the collar/cape thingy looked like before I sewed it. But I've cut out two pieces and sewed them and I flipped inside out and then sewed on the edges. I iron it flat. I've also included sewed an extra piece of fabric on the collar when I sewed the collar to the top. So when I flip the collar over I will have a nice edge. Then I iron it again.
[ I should have thought beforehand to use the same color as the top instead of the white. But it doesn't matter when I wear the top, it's not that noticeable. ]
[Edit: I remade the collar and you cannot see the extra white piece anymore.]

I've added my Yui Komori bow that I've made, because it is the same bow.
[lol I hung it on my Harry Styles cardboard cutout, that's where I hang my apron and my scarves and stuff. xD very useful]
My next objective is to hem the bottom and added the white and gold detail and zipper. ^ - ^
I didn't get to mention on my Deviatnart, but if you follow me or just passing through, I am not going to Katsucon this year. Not because I don't have enough money or a ride or something. Just because I don't feel like going in the winter and I have school work to take care of and to worry about. :o
But I will go to Otakon 2014, I'm going to probably list my plans in June or July.

Progress from this week. I handsewn all of the details. I just need to finish the other side and install the zipper. I couldn't find the correct gold trim so I improvised with some faux leather cord I found in the jewlery section. xDDD Hey if it works it's not stupid, I just need to make sure I don't iron that part. Then hem the edges and I'll be finished with the top. ^.^ [I have also redone the collar for the top, not shown in the photo.]
This is the front. Sorry that it looks a bit weird, it looks better when it's worn. xD
This is the side view. I have sew on the white part and gold detail by hand.

Next up is the making of the skirt. Until then I shall procrastinate. Dx
