DiaLovers Yui cosplay

Hi my lovelies,

My recent cosplay that I've finished is Yui Komori from Diabolik Lovers.

This is the first time I made my cosplay. Other times I would just make small accessories or add details.

It took me a month to finish making, because I had a lot of school work to do.

Here are the ones I took:

Bows: 
I finished making the two bows. I used this blazer for a reference for the actual one.
I'm considering making the red bow a bit smaller.


Vest:
I finished making the vest except I needed to add some buttons.
but in the meantime I'll just use safety pins to hold it together.
In this picture I am not wearing the white bow underneath.


Skirt:
I just made a circle skirt and cut a slit on the right side and added a pleated piece of black fabric.
Then I made another circle skirt same length except white, as the petticoat. I added gathered white fabric for the frills at the bottom of the petticoat. I sewed on some snaps to close for the waist and then sewed on the buttons on the front.


Finished cosplay:

If I go to the holiday mini convention that is coming up next month. I'll try to take better photos x-x.
Also I need to curl the wig a bit better. I have to go old fashion because curling irons don't work well for me
on my cosplay wigs.  Plus I'll make her hair piece at a later time. School is suppose to be important so.. but cosplay is life! ; - ;

Please ignore the quality of the photo and/or the plethora of One Direction posters mainly Harry. ;D Anyways Yui is ready for Otakon!! Costume is made by me. Wig is cut and styled by me. I sound like Kanye O 3 O. I'm thinking about wearing Yui on Thursday since I'm planning to be doing something special on that day. I'll link the post whenever I get to it. ^.^













Update July 21, 2014

Did a little revamping for my Yui skirt. xD Took 5 hours to redo all of the ruffles. Then I re hemmed the black skirt. The skirt consist of two circle skirts. The top layer is black and then the bottom layer is what I call the petticoat. I took this picture without an actual petticoat but it's pretty fluffy without one. xD
